Is-sinjal għal BIĊĊERIJA magħmul minn tlieta jew erba’ partijiet. (i) Fl-ewwel parti jsir is-sinjal jsir is-sinjal għal POST. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 miftuħ u kkurvat u bil-pala tal-id tħares ’l isfel. L-id titqiegħed f’punt ftit ’l quddiem. (ii) It-tieni parti hi s-sinjal għal FEJN Dan is-sinjal magħmul b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 bil-pala tħares ’il fuq u ftit ’il ġewwa. L-id tagħmel moviment imferfer, bħal f’ċirku zgħir, waqt li żżomm l-istess forma. Din il-parti spiss titħalla barra. (iii) Fit-tielet parti jsir is-sinjal għal QATEL. Id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq u, bil-pala tħares ’l isfel, tagħti skoss orizzontali lejn l-għonq u r-ras ġieli tmil ftit għan-naħa l-oħra. (iv) Fl-aħħar isir is-sinjal għal ANNIMAL, jiġifieri, id waħda tieħu l-forma ta’ qrun, bil-werrej u s-saba’ ż-żgħir stirati ’l fuq. Fl-istess ħin is-swaba’ tan-nofs imissu s-saba’ l-kbir waqt li jkunu stirati ’l barra.
Meta l-annimali li jkunu jinqatlu jkunu fniek, is-sinjal għal QATEL ikun differenti. Dan isir b’id waħda li tieħu l-forma ta’ ponn u titqiegħed fil-ġenb fil-livell tal-wiċċ. L-id l-oħra tieħu l-forma ta’ 5 magħluq u tagħti daqqa bi skoss mill-livell tar-ras ’l isfel qisu għal fuq il-fenek miżmum mis-saqajn bl-id l-oħra. Is sinjal għal ANNIMAL jitħalla barra.
The sign for SLAUGHTER HOUSE consists of three or four parts. (i) The first part is is the sign for PLACE. This is made with one hand in the shape of open, curved 5 with palm facing downwards and slightly sideways. The hand is then placed at a point in front, in the signing space. (ii) Then the sign for WHERE is made with one hand in the shape of 5 with the palm facing upwards and slightly inwards. The hand makes a small fluttering, circular movement keeping the same shape. This part is frequently omitted. (iii) Next, the sign for KILL is made with one hand in the shape of closed 5 with palm facing downwards. The hand makes a hitting movement towards the neck. The head tilts to the other side. (iv) Finally the sign for ANIMAL is made with one hand in the shape of a horn, that is, with the index finger and the small finger stretched straight up whilst the middle fingers touch the thumb as they stretch out.
When the animals are rabbits, the sign for KILL is made with both hands. One hand takes the shape of a fist placed at the side at head level. The other hand takes the shape of closed 5 and makes a horizontal hitting movement below the other hand as though hitting the rabbit held by the back legs. The final part for ANIMAL is omitted.
